Delilah W. Pierce and her sister Mediel Hoskins traveled on a diplomatic trip to encourage Haile Selassie to stop brutalizing his people according to an Afro-American article. Evidence shows their visit was state approved approved, but by whom? She also received the Agnes E.. Meyer Fellowship which ties her to the United Kingdom and Europe. Could it be the diplomatic infrastructure as a whole? More research is needed! current evidence points to a larger effort and not for what they said or presented; rather, for what they didn't say or present in the archives. Delilah, with her sister Mediel and 'group', visited embassies in the states of: Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, as well as multiple embassies in Europe. Also reference the letter she wrote to her husband Joseph l. pierce, and see how she made a point to reference the 'group' as "tourists". Why the emphasis?
The last leg was Europe.
